About The Baron

Larry (The Baron) Shenk, Vice President, Public Relations for the Phillies, was the dean of public relations directors in the Majors before assuming a semi-retired role as VP, Phillies Alumni and Senior Advisor on April 7, 2008. He and Dick Allen shared the same rookie season, 1964. During the Baron's time, he has seen players come and go from Kyle Abbott to Jon Zuber, worked with 18 different managers, been involved in three World Series and two All-Star Games, rubbed elbows with non-name players as well as Hall of Famers, and opened and closed three stadiums.
