Blanked In DC

J. Zimmermann tossed eight shutout innings and R. Zimmerman returned from the DL, moved from 3B to LF and collected two doubles. They led the host Nationals to an easy 7-0 win last night.

Meanwhile, the Phillies offense went zzzzzzz, shutout for the eighth time, seven in the last 27 games. One double was included among their six hits.

It doesn’t get any easier tonight with Strasburg, Washington’s ace, on the mound.
