Things aren’t going well. 6 wins at home, 1-8 in interleague play and 1-10 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Solution? Play all road games, only National League teams and skip Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Well, we all know that can’t happen.
But, we do get back to the NL tomorrow night as the Reds come to town following a 2-game sweep by the Angels who have won the last 7 meetings against the Phils. 11 interleague game left on the schedule (August and September) including two in Anaheim.
Number of the Day
17: league-leading doubles for Chase. Phillies have had 2 second basemen lead the NL in this category, Nap Lajoie (56, 1899) and Bert Niehoff (42, 1916).
