Just think, the Phillies first game was May 1, 1883. Now, 131 years later, we’ll be playing our 20,000th game tonight in Toronto on May 8. Only 3 other clubs have played that many games, Cubs, Braves and Giants.
Did you know the Phillies once had the nickname, Blue Jays? Well, it happened 70 years ago. Check out the story at http://www.phillies.com/alumni.

My book, If These Walls Could Talk, is now available in book stores and online. At Citizens Bank Park, it is on sale in the Majestic Clubhouse store. Chapter 14: features stories on uniform numbers worn in Phillies history.
Book signings are multiplying. The first is May 16 at the Myerstown (PA) High School Alumni Reunion. I have a friendly diploma from there (1956). Oldest Alumnus is dad, a 1935 grad who is 98 years young. No, he won’t have to buy the book.
First public event is May 22 at the Barnes & Noble store in the Cherry Hill (NJ) Mall. That starts at 6:30 p.m.
More signings information will be posted as we get closer to the various dates.
