Trade Deadline Today
Trade rumors have been rampant. Websites pound out the rumors 24 hours per day. The game of baseball is a game among websites as to who breaks the story. Got to get the scoop first.
Once the 4 o’clock trade deadline passes this afternoon, we’ll know who went where for what. Then, the final two months of the season start on Wednesday. Players can still be moved but waivers must be obtained first. The rumor mill will slow down immensely.
For the third time this season, the Phillies and Nationals hook up in a three-game series. Two more such series remain on the schedule, including the last three games of the regular season in Nationals Park.
Washington has won four of the six games so far. In those four wins, they’ve given up seven runs.
