Monkeys Gone

Every win is vital, but perhaps none as important as Monday night. Trailing, 6-3, the Phillies scored four times to get the monkey off their back.  Two walk-off wins in a row has to get the juices going.

Going into the game they were 0-42 when trailing after eight innings.  The rally was reminiscent of the Phillies of the past years when they came from behind to pile up wins.  They still have a huge mountain to climb.

Chase and Ryan went deep and that’s another good sign.  Now, we got to get Cliff rolling.

Joe Savery was the winner and he got a monkey off his back.  Of his 18 appearances in the majors this season, last night was the first time he pitched in a win.

With the trade deadline next week, a flock of scouts were at the game.  Twenty have asked for tickets for tonight.  Sitting next to each other in the scout section Monday night were Pat Burrell (Giants) and Jim Fregosi (Braves).
