Phillies Turn To Cole
If the Phillies are going to take this series against LA, it comes down to Cole’s arm on Wednesday night. Better throw in Cole’s bat, too. He’s been swinging a mean stick lately.
Roy-O lost back-to-back games for the first time in a Phillies uniform on Tuesday night. He threw a first pitch strike to 13 of the 26 batters he faced, but came out on the short end. He allowed more than two runs for the second time in 10 starts this season. His own error, his first as a Phillie, was part of the Dodgers’ scoring.
The offense produced four singles and a triple. In Roy-O’s four losses, they’ve scored eight total runs.
Looking at box scores, six other teams had five or fewer hits on Tuesday. So, maybe it isn’t just the Phillies.
