Day 7 Schedule

Every day in the clubhouse, there’s a schedule posted listing the work out drills for that day.  It is the responsibility of the players to check the schedule and know where they are to be at all times. 

The schedule is drafted by coach Rich Dubee and reviewed when Charlie Manuel has his daily 8 a.m. meetings with the instructional staff in camp.

Today was day 7:

8:30 a.m. Catchers meeting (meeting room next to Manuel’s office)

9:00 a.m. Base running discussion with Davey Lopes (Schmidt field)

9:30 a.m. Clubhouse cleared of all media

10 a. m. Pitching groups 3-4, bunting drills (Bright House Field cages)
  Exercise, all other players (Schmidt/Ashburn)

10:30 a.m. Long toss, position players (Ashburn); pitching groups 1-2 (Schmidt)

10:45 a.m. Defensive work
   Catchers (Carlton)
   Pitchers (Ashburn/Bright House Field)
   Infielders (Schmidt/Roberts)
   Outfielders (Schmidt in center field)

11:15 a.m. Break, prep for live batting practice
   Pitching groups 3-4 & catchers (7 mounds)
   Pitching groups 1-2, bunting drills (Bright House cages)

11:20 a.m. Batting practice against pitchers (Schmidt, Ashburn, Carlton, Roberts)

11:45 a.m. Pitchers conditioning, groups 1-2 (Bright House)

12:05 p.m. Batting practice against staff (four fields)

12:35 p.m. Players, catchers conditioning on respective hitting fields

Thursday: MLB Photo Day starting at 8 a.m.
