A Tummy Twister

September 18, 2007

Last night’s game went from a laugher to a tummy twister.  Watching on TV, I went from total relaxation in a Lazy-boy recliner to pacing.

Charlie Manuel put it best after the game: “I passed my stress test.”

Oh, one more note from last night, we out-scored the Eagles!

A reminder, last night is history and the focus is on tonight.  It will be interesting to see Cole Hamels’ performance.   A healthy Hamels down the stretch would be huge.

TV Ratings
The Phillies have averaged a 5.3 rating on Comcast SportsNet this season, 12 percent higher than last year’s average rating, which set a record.

Chart of the Day

Last night definately had me aT the edge of my seat, but a win is a win.

I’m looking forward to seeing Hamels tonight. Hopefully he has a strong outing, and no elbow pain. We’re going to need him the remainder of the season.

As much as a disappointment Wes Helms has been, Dobbs has made up for it. Solid D at third when he plays and a clutch pinch hitter.

I couldn’t even watch the end of the game last night. I put my head down and listened for a strike call, no call(ball) or bat on ball. Then jumped up when we won!
