Today’s Lineup
Rollins, ss; Victorino, rf; Rowand, cf; Utley, 2b; Burrell, lf; Dobbs, 1b; Nunez, 3b; Ruiz, c; Garcia, p.

Burrell Comes Through
Pat, who has been in a"mixup" as Jim Fregosi used to say, came through big time last night.  With Howard sidelined, it would be a great time for Pat to get on a hot streak.  Sluggers can be streaky.  Pat has been a run producer throughout his career.  Great to see the curtain call for Pat last night.  “The fans here are very good about rewarding us,” he said after the game.

Geoff Geary has 11 consecutive scoreless appearances, dropping his ERA fom 4.05 to 1.50 . . . Chase Utley has 23 RBI, 27 hits and a .351 average in his lat 20 games . . . Greg Dobbs shares the major league lead with five pinch hits . . . Cole Hamels is 6-1 in his last nine starts at Citizens Bank Park . . . 2,500 youngsters representing Youth Baseball Day at the Phillies will parade around the field before today’s game.

Mother’s Day
Phillies are saluting Mother’s Day tomorrow.  Every year, the organization asks the players to place their mother’s name in a hat.  A random drawing is made and one of the players’ mothers is flown to Philadelphia for the weekend.  This year Gigi Rollins will be here from Oakland, CA. She’ll be recognized before tomorrow’s game.  How does Jimmy feel about his mother? Check out the Mother’s Day feature on the home page of his site.  If Jimmy is known as J-Roll, is mom known as G-Roll?

Sold Out
Tomorrow’s game is sold out but standing room tickets will go on sale at Citizens Bank Park starting at 9 in the morning. Ashburn Alley gates open at 11:05 a.m.; the rest of the gates 30 minutes later.

Game Called
Clearwater Threshers’ home game was postponed last night because of extremely unhealthy air quality from the wild fires in the Tampa Bay area.  Over in Tampa, the Yankees started but the game was suspended after three innings because of increased smoke.

Yo, Timmy
Tim McCarver is in town for this afternoon’s FOX telecast.  He had his FOX research team check out Yoel Hernandez, the Phillies rookie reliever.  Tim let everyone know: in the history of Major League Baseball, he is the First Yo-El.  Timmy, don’t give up your broadcasting career for a stint as a comedian.
